trails wenatchee valleyFor the serious hikers or the recreational ones, Wenatchee and the surrounding areas offer many options. Many day hikes are available and the wild flower display is breathtaking.

Wenatchee's own Apple Capital Loop Trail is a wonderful "in town" 11 mile trail that circles the river on both sides. Accessible from several locations.
To view or print the details and maps of local trails, see the online hiking guidebook at WenatcheeOutdoors.org.

The Apple Capital Loop Trail is a scenic-waterfront 11-mile paved loop trail for pedestrians, cyclists, skaters, and others. This scenic trail can be entered or exited from Riverwalk Crossing Pedestrian Overpass, located in the heart of Downtown Wenatchee. There are plenty of free public parking lots at several locations on both sides of the river. The Apple Capital Loop Trail crosses the Columbia at the north and south ends of Wenatchee and is lighted until midnight on the West side.

Park hours are dawn to dusk unless otherwise posted.

Wenatchee is nestled on the eastern flanks of the Central Cascade mountains, we are a gateway to Washington wilderness areas - Wenatchee National Forest, Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Henry M. Jackson Wilderness and Lake Wenatchee State Park, to name just a few.
