  • Rocky Reach Dam Visitors Center - Learn, lunch, run, jump, and look a salmon in the eye. Bring your family, tour the dam and visit the “Museum of the Columbia”. You will be transported back in time and learn about pioneer history of our region and beyond. Free admission.

  • Outdoor Aventures - Many trails, paths, and open spaces are found within a 10 minute drive from downtown Wenatchee. These scenic trail systems are great for hiking, mountain biking, trail running, birdwatching, and picnicking…all for the public to enjoy in perpetuity. If watersports are more your speed, the Wenatchee and Columbia Rivers are fed by fish-filled lakes and ponds. Free Trail and park maps are located at the Wenatchee Valley Visitor Center at Five South Wenatchee Avenue.
  • Ice Age Geological Tour - Witness an extraordinary geological panorama unfolding along the roadways in North Central Washington! Use Wenatchee as your “base camp”, pick up a map and CD at Wenatchee Valley Visitors Bureau and set off for a day’s adventure.

  • Watchable Wildlife Tour - Along the Apple Capital Loop Trail, you will find the Horan Natural Area, a 100-acre wetland which is a haven for numerous varieties of birds and mammals. You may sight marmots, foxes, raccoons, skunks, ducks, eagles, ospreys, herons, geese and a great number of song birds. The two miles of gravels trails are complete with interpretive signs that inform you about the area and wildlife. Maps are located at Wenatchee Valley Visitors Bureau at Five South Wenatchee Avenue.
  • Art on the Avenue - Enjoy Wenatchee's downtown art exhibit, Art on the Avenues, and see an exhibit of 64 public art pieces. Plan a 15-minute stroll to see the dozen or so sculptures surrounding the Stanley Civic Center, or enjoy a two-hour walk from Memorial Park through downtown to the Riverfront Trail and back.   • Wenatchee World Press Tour - The Wenatchee World pressroom tour will show you how a daily newspaper is created. From the giant rolls of blank paper that each page is printed on to the adding of the sales inserts, you will see the complete process that encompasses the creation of your daily newspaper.   • Geocaching- Explore the Wenatchee Valley through this widely popular, high-tech game of treasure hunting. Find area caches on the internet, enter the coordinates into your GPS, then set off to find the caches! Free entertainment for all ages.

  • Nile Saunders Miniature Steam Train - Ride the children’s railway in Riverfront Park. Volunteers from the Wenatchee Riverfront Railway Association run the train along a short course that winds across trestles, bridges and rails along the Columbia River. The train is fun for all ages.   • Wenatchee Valley's Super Oval - The world’s fastest quarter mile oval has taken auto racing to new heights in the Northwest. The racing season runs from April through September.
