Wenatchee WA 98801 Phone: (509) 663-8712 Website: Website DESCRIPTION: Come visit the Wenatchee Valley Farmers Markets in Wenatchee, Cashmere and Leavenworth where you will find the freshest fruits and vegetables anywhere. Most produce in our markets has been harvested within 24 hours of your visit and has not traveled for more than a few miles. ALL fruit and vegetables are guaranteed to have been grown in the three county area of Grant, Chelan and Douglas. Our farmers undergo a Farm Inspection before they are permitted to vend in any of the Wenatchee Valley Farmers Markets, ensuring that you are truly supporting LOCAL farmers. Wenatchee Valley Farmers Market opens for it's 2010 Season on May 8th. The Wenatchee Market was formed in 1978 as a Saturday market, since that time the market has been located in several different areas, finally settling in the Riverfront Park in 1986. It expanded to a Sunday and Wednesday market and soon added a market in the Bavarian village of Leavenworth. Then it added the Thursday afternoon Methow Park market in south Wenatchee, taking on a new look and flair as a Latino-style "Mercado".
